8 Best Frisbee Drinking Games In 2024

The best Frisbee Drinking Games are the ones that you can play without ever having to put down your drink. In fact, in all of our other drinking game rules, you will be penalized for this.

The great thing about the Frisbee drinking games is that they are so portable and something you can just leave in the back of your car in case a game breaks out. In the summer when the weather is nice you just may be the hit of your camping trip or backyard BBQ.

If you are looking for non-drinking frisbee games, find our list of 15 frisbee games here. If Frisbee drinking games might not be your thing, before getting started here, check out our 15 top drinking games list here.

These drinking games can be played with a refreshing beverage in hand, making them a great choice for adults who are legally above the drinking age. However, we want to emphasize that these games are about fun and camaraderie, not excessive or competitive drinking. Always remember to drink responsibly and know your limits.

Frisbee Drinking Games

Here are 8 Ultimate Frisbee Drinking Games:

Bottle Bash | Ultimate Frisbee Drinking Game

1. Beersbee Frisbee Drinking Game

Beersbee, also called Bottle Bash, Polish Horseshoes, and Frisbee Bottle game, is known by many as the best outdoor drinking game. On a hot summer day with a group of friends, you will see why. We have the full Beersbee drinking rules here but will give you a quick rundown of how it works.

You place 2 poles  20 – 30 feet and throw at your competitor’s pole trying to knock off their bottle. Points for knocking the beer off your competitor’s target or 1 for hitting the pole. The first team to 11 wins and you must win by 2 points. We recommend the Bottle Bash Set with a surface spike so you can play anywhere.

Tic-Tac-Toss Frisbee Drinking Game

2. Frisbee Tic-Tac-Toe 2 Player Drinking Game

This is one of the simplest yet most entertaining DIY Frisbee Drinking Games you can make. All you need are 9 inexpensive Frisbees, a large tarp, and a roll of tape. Ideally, you should have 4 sets of Frisbees, with 3 Frisbees in each set, each set being a different color. The objective is the same as tic-tac-toe: the first to get 3 in a row wins.

Players take turns throwing the differently colored Frisbees, aiming to land them in a square on the tarp. If you miss a square or your Frisbee lands outside the intended square, you lose your turn and have to take a drink. The first player to successfully land three Frisbees of the same color in a row on the tarp wins!

This game can also be played in teams, with a 2-on-2 format, adding an extra layer of strategy and skill.

We have created comprehensive instructions on how to play this game, as well as DIY instructions for setting it up. Read it here.

A Complete Guide to Kanjam | Backyard Games

3. KanJam Drinking Game For 4 People

We like this game so much we have about 3 other full posts with full details on the KanJam Drinking Game but for now, let’s give you the quick version.

Kanjam involves 2 teams with 2 players each. Your partner and you stand 15 feet apart from each other on opposite ends. Take turns throwing your Frisbee at the target. 1 point is for redirecting the frisbee, 2 points for directly hitting 3 bins, 3 points for slam dunking the Frisbee into the goal, and an instant win for hitting through the front slot.

It’s an Instant win and slam your whole drink you get the Frisbee in the front slot, or take a drink for every slam dunk, and direct hit to the Kanjam goal. If you put your beer down or spill it, take a drink!

This game is quite active so it can be a fun challenge to balance your drink and get that slam dunk at the same time. If Beersbee is the King of the Backyard Drinking Games, KanJam is definitely Queen. Haven’t heard of KanJam? Find our complete KanJam guide here.

Bocce Toss Frisbee Game | Super Easy Outdoor Game to play with just a Frisbee

4. Frisbee Bocce Drinking Game

Instead of lugging heavy balls with you how about just backing up a few frisbee? In the Frisbee Boccee Drinking Game you throw frisbees towards the target instead of bocce balls. We play first player to 21 wins and for groups of up to 4 players each person gets 2 throws each.

To start the game throw a smaller tennis ball and similar to the little white ball in Bocce, this will be the target all players throw at. Start by throwing whatever ball you can find (preferably tennis ball) and see who gets their frisbee closest.

The player who gets the closet to the balls gets 1 point, 2 points if you hit the ball, 2 if it lands on it.  All players who didn’t win the round, take a drink. At the end of the game, slam the rest of your drink.

5. Disc Golf – FROLF/Frisbee Golf

Despite what any signs or park rangers might suggest, this game is traditionally played with a beer in hand, even if you’re in a public park. It’s wise to be discreet with your drink. It’s a bonus if you can set this up in your backyard or private space. Check out our post covering everything you need to know about disc golf here!

If you don’t have access to a Disc Golf Course, an alternative is to use bean bags and bins as targets. While using bean bags doesn’t quite match the experience of using Frisbees, it’s still enjoyable to set up your own mini-course in your backyard.

The goal is to have the lowest score, so aim to land your throws in the baskets using the fewest attempts. There’s no need to stick to the traditional 18 holes like in golf; you can play with as few as 6 or more, depending on your preference and space.

When we head to our city’s Disc Golf Course, we make it a point to bring two Frisbees per person for extra throws. This is similar to the “best ball” format in golf, where you can choose the better of your two throws to play after your first throw.

It’s worth noting that there is a significant difference in the quality of discs, ranging from lower-priced ones to tournament-grade discs. Since it’s likely that most of your friends won’t have their own set, we recommend purchasing a 4 or 8-set of Frisbees online to bring with you.

Buying online can be more economical as they are typically about half the price compared to purchasing from a mainstream sports store. You can find Disc Golf courses around the world from the Professional Disc Golf Association (PDGA) website here!

6. Frisbee Bowling Drinking Game

We firmly believe that plastic water bottles should never be consumed so try to recycle or grab some used ones if possible. They should be used solely for Frisbee Bowling, don’t reuse them to drink liquids afterward.

Rules are pretty much the same as traditional bowling where you line up the bottles as bowling pins and throw the Frisbee trying to know them down. Each thrower gets 2 throws and then alternate between player.

Bonus if you have glow-in-the-dark sticks to put in water bottles where you can turn this into a late-night party game. The drinking rules? Simple, miss knocking down a pin, take a drink!

7. 500-Up Frisbee Drinking Game

This is one of the more active games so if you prefer to sit down while playing games, then this is not for you. The first person to 500 points wins.

One person throws the disc above the other groups where people compete for it. Normally the person who throws gets to choose how many points for each throw (typically 100) and whoever catches it gets the points.

The winner gets to be the thrower for the next round. This game is very good for practicing positioning, jumping, and reading the flight of the disc.

Add an extra challenge to 500-up Frisbee by requiring all players to have a drink in hand. If you don’t catch the Frisbee, take a drink!

8. Frisbee Horse Drinking Game

Just like the game we played as kids, but use a Frisbee instead of a basketball. The first player gets to create the challenge.

Choose challenges instead of shooting hoops. Challenges can include bouncing the Frisbee off a tree, bouncing off a fence post, or landing in a small area.

Whoever creates the challenge must do it first and when completed successfully goes to the other challengers. If the challengers do not finish the task they receive a letter such as H-O-R-S-E until you spell out the entire HORSE.

For an added challenge, you may want to play this game to throw all frisbees while in a chair (just saying). If you get a letter, take a drink!
